Who is Matt Jackson?

If you've been tuning in to season 32 of Jeopardy, then most likely—you are right.

Jackson, a paralegal from Washington, DC has garnered over $230,000 in winnings from the television game show "Jeopardy". He also holds an undefeated title, as of posting.

While the Internet has been booming with excitement and viral posts over this 23-year-old go-getter, here's a little bit of background for those who had no clue who he was, until now.

Jackson happens to be the friend of 2010 College Championship second placer Sam Spaulding. After Spaulding bagged $50,000, he encouraged Jackson to try out for the show. Jackson tried the College Online Test twice, to no avail, as he did not advance to the in-person audition during both attempts. However, being the dynamo that he was, he signed up for one more shot at the adult online test in 2014. He advanced and moved to the final group and finally received "the call."

Jackson was a hit on the show. The Internet welcomed him with arms wide open after realizing how truly fascinating he was.

He gained fame with his celebratory "Boom" catchphrase.

He is slowly changing lives with this slow-spreading trademark smile.

At any rate, it's not just Jackson's little idiosyncrasies that has the Internet falling head over heels for him. This man seems to be on a wealth amassing spree on the show. He has won show, after show, after show – and from what "Jeopardy" says about him, well deservedly so.

"He deactivated his Facebook account and pared down his social life to the bare minimum, which allowed Matt to dedicate all of his free time to preparing for his moment," the show shared in a feature section on selected contestants.

Jackson is out to make the most out of his time in "Jeopardy," but makes it to a point to still enjoy the little things in life.

Fingers crossed he'll make it far enough as to be the next Arthur Chu and Ken Jennings.
