Even diehard Jane Austen fans may feel like another big screen adaptation of Pride and Prejudice might be a bit of a snooze fest, but this film is breathing new life into its take on the classic novel by using one powerful plot change—zombies.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is based on the Seth Grahame-Smith novel that reimagined Austen's story that brought the undead to the Victorian era.

Directed and screenplay co-written by Burr Steers alongside David O. Russell, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies stars Lily James as lead character Elizabeth Bennet, Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy, with Matt Smith, Lena Headey, Bella Heathcote, Jack Huston, Douglas Booth and Charles Dance as co-stars.

In the first trailer, we are reintroduced to Austen's tale of love and social status, set in early 19th century England, where Bennet struggles to deal with what is socially acceptable for a young woman when it comes to morality, manners and marriage.

The trailer starts off just as one would expect, the Victorian clothing, the countryside and manor and famous lines about what a woman needs to do to succeed in polite society.

"But to survive in the world as we know it, she'll need other qualities," James says as we get a look at the zombies that are lurking in the manor.

We then see a montage of zombie-killing action scenes that show just how strong these women really are.

"You're not going to improve Jane Austen, especially to me, so my intention was to take all her characters and themes and turn them up to 11," Grahame-Smith said earlier this year. "Even in the original story, Elizabeth's a fighter and beyond her contemporaries in her ambitions and her ideas of women." He adds that in this film, Elizabeth is a "badass warrior" and "ninja."

Lionsgate also released the first poster for the film as seen below.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hits theaters on Feb. 5, 2016. Check out the trailer below.
