Verizon Wireless, well renowned in the U.S. for Internet and telephone services, is launching new prepaid data plans for tablet and hotspot users.

The prepaid data plans are specifically aimed at business travelers who wish to keep connected to the Internet while on the road, or hardcore data users who wish to be connected anytime and anywhere.

"Verizon Wireless customers can now choose from five new prepaid data plans, designed to get customers connected and online faster and easier with no annual contract, no credit checks and no strings attached," reads the company's blog post.

Five Options

Users are given five options, including 500MB of data, which the subscriber can use for a week for $15; 1GB of data to be consumed for one month at $20; 2GB of data for two months at the price of $35; 5GB of data to be used for two months for an amount of $60; and 10GB of data for the user to consume for two months at $100.

Auto Pay Option

The Big Red also offers an Auto Pay option for customers who want to have their data automatically refilled. It's also worth pointing out that users can cancel the option anytime they wish to.

Customers can enroll in Auto Pay so they can buy data anytime they want it.

"There is no obligation to pay every month. For even more flexibility, customers can now replenish data on their devices, online at My Verizon or by using refill cards," the blog adds.

These new data offerings are geared toward mobile broadband, 3G/4G-enabled tablets as well as connected devices.

Customers who wish to grab any of these new plans should head over to the carrier's website, particularly to the Verizon Prepaid Pricing page.

For customers who are presently enrolled in connected devices or Auto Pay for tablets, Verizon notes they should stay on the current plans until the expiry date.

In September, the Big Red also debuted its new XXL plan for users who need 18GB of data every month in a bid to match the "digital lifestyle" of its users as well as attract more customers.

This plan is aimed at users who hope for yet another, bigger data option to select from.
