Libratone has launched a new line of Zipp wireless speakers that are designed for multi-room audio.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the company introduced two new portable speakers: Zipp (2015) and the Zipp Mini, which can be connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Modern day consumers want to listen to music whenever they want and with full flexibility and Zipp speakers have delivered portable sound experience to customers.

"The new generation of ZIPP speakers continue this proud tradition, and also feature SoundSpace Link, which lets you connect up to 6 speakers via WiFi, place them anywhere in any room and move them around as you wish. It's an exciting addition to the audio market, and we are proud to be the first to provide this comprehensive package," says Jan McNair, the CEO of Libratone.

The latest Libratone speakers are similar to speakers made by Sonos speakers and other multi-room speaker solutions. However, the new line of Zipp speakers comes with rechargeable batteries that can provide music playtime of up to 10 hours.

The Zipp (2015) and the Zipp Mini have substantial 100 watt and 60 watt power rating but they require their individual AC adapter and they cannot be charged with a standard micro USB cable. The speakers do come with a USB charging port that allows users to charge their mobile devices.

Bluetooth connectivity offers extra convenience that allows users to take the new Zipp speakers to places where Wi-Fi network is not available.

The Zipp (2015) as well as the Zipp Mini sport a white base and removable mesh fabric cover, which is available in four color options: Victory Red, Cloudy Gray, Graphite Gray and Deep Lagoon. Customers can also opt for extra covers, which are available in Atlantic Deep, Sangria and Signal for $30 in the U.S.

Both the new speakers will be available from the company's official website starting Oct. 22 and from other retailers from November this year. The Zipp (2015) has a price tag of $299 and the Zipp Mini will cost $249 in the U.S.
