Good news for those hankering for the Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphone: the 128GB variant is now available at the OEM's online store.

Earlier in September, we reported that Huawei had begun taking pre-orders for the Nexus 6P at the same time as the Google Store. However, at the time, the Chinese smartphone maker was only offering the 32GB and 64GB models of the Nexus 6P, which would be shipped to consumers in October.

Now the company has added the 128GB Nexus 6P model to its repository, pleasing many customers who would have had to look at the Google Store as their only previous option.

GetHuawei.com now lists the 128GB Nexus 6P in two hues - Graphite and Aluminum - for $649. This is the same price as that on the Google Store. However, buying from Huawei gives consumers the waiver of a sales tax in most states, whereas Google charges tax in 45 states.

Those eyeing the Frost (i.e. the white-colored option) will be disappointed as Huawei's online store continues to lack this version.

Customers who pre-order the Nexus 6P's 128GB variant on Huawei's online store should be prepared for the smartphone to be shipped in "late November." However, purchasing directly from Huawei gives one the assurance of having the handset shipped out immediately unlike ordering from the Google Store, where a policy on surplus orders is enforced.

Since Huawei is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), it is likely that it will have better access to the smartphone's inventory as compared to the Google Store.

Refreshing buyers' memory: the Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone houses an Octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.

Along with the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P is among the first few smartphones to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Check out our comparison of the two smartphones to know which one is the better buy of the two.

You can now pre-order the 128GB Nexus 6P from Huawei's online store for $649. The 32GB and 64GB models will set you back by $499 and $549, respectively.
