'Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3, Episode 5 Promo Teases How Simmons Survived Life On Another Planet

Though Simmons has safely reunited with the team after shockingly disappearing to another planet during the Season 2 finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., fans can't help but wonder, Where exactly did Simmons go, and how was she able to survive?

Luckily, we should get some answers during next Tuesday night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The narration for a new promo for the upcoming episode titled "4,722 Hours" explains that we will finally find out what happened to Simmons when she got slurped up by a liquified Kree stone in the Season 2 finale and how she was able to make her way back to the team.

As the promo shows, it really is a wonder how Simmons didn't die on that myserious blue planet. For one thing, the blue atmosphere made everything super dark. For another, it looks like there was hardly any vegitation there, which made finding something to eat rather difficult. There's also the fact that there were strange creatures lurking in the water and dangerous dust storms that look like they made it nearly impossible for Simmons to move or even see.

The end of the promo shows Simmons sobbing as she says, "This is hell." Believe it or not, that seems to be putting it mildly.

A new episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday, October 27 at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CST on ABC. Check out the full promo below.
