Disney has announced that there is now the option to create and personalize the iconic retail MagicBands, when you visit Walt Disney World Resort.

Called "MagicBand on Demand," the first store can be found inside the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co.

The area is located (PDF) near Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park.

In April 2014, Walt Disney World launched the MagicBand. This item entitles the bearer access Fast Pass + selections, PhotoPass card, payment amount and park admission. Back then the colors available were gray, green, pink, blue, red, orange and yellow.

Whether you like it or not, these MagicBands have been a staple for visitors at Walt Disney World. The arrival of MagicBand on Demand has widened the selection, including a new color—the purple band.

If you've heard of the D-Tech on Demand boutique (at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Marketplace) that was introduced last June 2014, you'll have a better idea of the MagicBand on Demand. D-Tech on Demand combines rapid printing technology with great artwork to create personalized electronic accessories for guests. It offers cases for various cellphones: iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 5C, Samsung Galaxy SIII and Samsung Galaxy S4.

MagicBand on Demand has 18 colors and 40 graphics that you can use to spice up your wristband. Apart from the artwork, you also have the option to personalize the band with your name printed on the outer side of the band. A custom retail MagicBand costs $21.95, while a personalized retail MagicBand with a name on it costs $29.95.

Once you've chosen the design, your MagicBand will then be printed on location. The technology used to print he bands utilizes UV ink which allows it to dry immediately without any cooling time.

To top off the experience, you can either associate your custom MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account, or perhaps give it as a gift to someone who is thinking of going on a trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
