Google CEO Sundar Pichai proves to be blaming the company's overapplication of accommodating a global user base regarding Gemini AI's recent image-generation issue of being reluctant to create images of white people and recreating historical figures with erroneous genders and ethnicities.
According to a reported interview released on Wednesday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that "we got it wrong" and that it was an instance of well-intentioned mistakes being made.
According to Pichai, Google is attempting to serve a worldwide user base by responding to common queries from individuals all around the world, such as "Show me images of school teachers or doctors."
Pichai stated that the company's overapplication, including in situations where it never should have applied, was undoubtedly the error, pointing out that this was the flaw.
The image-generation issue has not yet been resolved, but Gemini anticipates returning the capability shortly. In February, the CEO of Google DeepMind stated that the image generator would be back in a few weeks. Google did not share any information regarding the date of the functionality.
Some criticism has previously been directed at the Gemini chatbot. Gemini has declared that it will not support fossil fuels or meat. Additionally, users on X have reported that the chatbot often adds the word "diverse" to comments that do not warrant it.

Gemini AI's Rumoured Upgrades
There are still rumors circulating online regarding Google's Gemini's upcoming update. Just recently, Piunikaweb received an update in late April that improved response speeds, according to renowned code hunter AssembleDebug.
By using the "Real-time Responses" option, clients can watch Gemini's responses to their questions being generated in real-time rather than receiving the entire answer all at once.
The "Real-time Responses" feature in the Gemini settings menu will display the assistant's output in real-time. Gemini currently answers user questions instantly after receiving them.
However, Gemini has a sweet little animation on the internet that shows how it writes the responses in real-time, suggesting that the app may soon include this feature. Nevertheless, it is only ornamental and has no practical benefits.
Conversations using Gemini may feel more informal and natural since users won't have to wait for the full response before seeing any output. Instead, clients can observe as the helper dissects their query and constructs the solution.
Gemini AI in Coding
Google is currently making several efforts to advance Gemini AI. With an emphasis on the Jellyfish version of Android Studio, the development environment of Android Studio now incorporates Gemini AI; Google is extending the availability of Gemini to over 180 countries.
Like Studio Bot, the newly introduced Gemini bot is accessible from within the IDE and allows developers to request assistance with coding.
According to Google, developers could expect improvements in response quality in several coding areas, including code completion and documentation development.
