Almost as publicized as the hospitalization of former NBA player Lamar Odon is the news of his ex-wife, TV personality Khloé Kardashian, flying out to be with him after hearing of his serious condition.

Odom, who was found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada on Oct. 13, is on the road to recovery following the hospitalization.

Throughout this time, a report confirms that Kardashian has been a constant presence, not leaving his beside.

The said report features the estranged wife now opening up about the situation, claiming that despite their background, she'll "always be there for him."

Upon finding out about Odom's hospitalization, Kardashian knew that she had to be there and ensure the stability of his condition, proving that true love and care, can indeed transcend romantic boundaries.

"I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn't want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about," shared the 31-year-old star.ee

Odom and Kardashian were married in 2009, following what could be described as a whirlwind romance. The two were wed a month after they met. At the time, Odom was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. In Dec. 2013, Kardashian filed for divorce and for the legal restoration of her last name. Both parties signed the divorce papers in Jul. 2015, a month after Kardashian was known to be in a relationship with basketball player James Harden. Though the papers have been signed, a judge has yet to give a final approval.

Though Kardshian has postponed the divorce, she asserts that she and Odom are not getting back together.

"There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It's not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now," she said.

Odom, 35, no longer uses a ventilator, a report says.

"His organs still aren't that strong," the report confirms, the report adds. The extent of the damage, however, is still unknown.

Through this ordeal, Kardashian hopes to remain strong for the sake of Odom.

"I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it's the same, except I'm here supporting him fully," she explained.

As for her relationship with Harden, Kardashian is thankful for his support during this tough time.

"He's been great with me, and I'm just allowing everything to unfold ... If it's ever too overwhelming [for him], then I understand that as well," shared Kardashian.
