Empire Magazine has just previewed two magazine covers for the upcoming movie, "Suicide Squad."

The covers features Jared Leto, who plays Joker, and Cara Delevingne, who plays Enchantress.

"I'm not gonna kill you, I'm just gonna... #SuicideSquad," read Leto's tweet, followed by a photo of the eeriely attractive Joker on the cover of the magazine.

A day before Leto's revelation, Empire Magazine posted an equally spectral preview of Delevingne's cover.

"She's a feral being," read part of the tweet, referring to Delevingne's description of the Enchantress.

"She's an ancient sorceress," the 23-year-old actress said. "She's been trapped for so long and now she's finally let out."

Meanwhile, Leto has been doing a lot of in-character work on his end. The 43-year-old actor, known for his ageless appearance, has dug even deeper than the DC comic books just to find his character. He has gone so far as to contacting Grant Morrison, author of the comic books, to get his insight into the character of Joker.

"He [Leto] called me to talk about his approach to the character and I steered him in a few directions. I'm keen to see if anything other than slicked back hair and the Marilyn Manson vibe made it into his performance," Morrison shared in an interview.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for another year or so to find out whether or not Leto took Morrison's advice, as "Suicide Squad" is set for release on Aug. 5, 2016.

No worries, though, because even Leto's co-stars share the same sentiment as fans. Will Smith, who plays marksman and assassin Deadshot, shares that he himself has not met Leto.

"I've never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' He was all in on the Joker," he said in an interview.

As if that wasn't strange enough, actor Adam Beach, who plays Slipknot in the same film, shared a similar story about his experience with Leto on set.

"He sent [Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it-a live rat. It was beautiful. Then he sent bullets to Will [Smith] with a letter," he narrated. "He encompasses this beautiful man and he shows it in, 'Hello, how are you?,' but in an instant, he goes to psychotic behavior where you're in fear. But you love him because he has both of those genuine sides."

Leto as Joker and the whole "Suicide Squad" hype has everybody on their toes for any information the quench the year-long wait for the movie.

Fortunately, a report has released brand new stills from the latest issue of Empire Magazine.
