Steam sales have acquired an almost legendary status for PC gamers, and with good reason. Nobody throws a sale quite like Valve does, and they've proved it yet again with their 2015 Halloween sale.

Until Nov. 2, hundreds of PC games are on sale through the platform. Though the sale states that you can "save big on spooky" titles, the tagline is a little misleading. While there are plenty of horror games on sale (like Amnesia, Five Nights At Freddy's, Outlast) there are a number of nonhorror titles on sale as well, both new and old.

Some of the nonhorror games on sale do have special Halloween events, like Grand Theft Auto V, for example. Others, like Cities: Skyline and Broforce, appear to be on sale because hey, why not? You won't find us complaining about cheap games.

If you have yet to play the fantastic Outlast, now is the perfect time. The sequel was just announced, and the original is currently on sale for $4.99, a 75 percent discount.

If Outlast is a little too spooky for you, you can always bash some zombies for a gore-filled good time. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are discounted 80 percent for a price tag of $3.99 each, and the critically acclaimed Dying Light is 50 percent off with a price of $29.99. And there's plenty of other discounted zombie titles where that came from, including Dead Space, Dead Rising and more.

You can check out all the games currently on sale by heading over to the Steam site.
