Amazon knows that the holidays are coming and it kicked off November with a bang, announcing the Amazon Black Friday 2015.

Those who possess Amazon Prime accounts can rejoice, as there are twice as many Lightning Deals this year, containing 30,000 items.

"We're giving Prime members early access to more than 30,000 Lightning Deals," says Steve Shure, Vice President of Amazon Consumer Marketing.

Last year, Prime members had the chance to snatch the best value-for-money items ahead of everyone else, and they were able to choose from 15,000 items. This year, Amazon continues the tradition and offers a notable head start for its its Prime members - a full 30 minutes of bargain shopping before non-members can see the Lightning Deals.

Amazon officially announced the list of expected Black Friday deals and gadget enthusiasts can find a myriad of product categories to choose from.

"Shoppers come to Amazon to discover the best deals on the best gifts," Shure points out.

For example, there is a 30 percent cut for the bundle that packs a Sony XBR55X900C 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV and a Blu-ray Player. If you're looking to spend under $800 on an Optima HD37 Full 3D 1080p 2600 Lumens DLP Home Cinema Projector, now is the time.

Aspiring photographers who want to enter 2016 with $170 more in their pocket might want to check out the Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera offer, which comes with 16-50mm Power Zoom Lens. For the athletic demographic, Amazon prepares a 47 percent trim for the Jaybird X Sport Bluetooth Headphones.

The e-commerce giant followed the general marketing trend and extended the special deals period from the Black Friday date to the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This way, the holiday shopping season gets an early start so that customers can choose (or hunt) the thousands of bargains available on clothing, jewelry, toys, kitchen and electronics up until Dec. 22. The list of deals updates daily.

Most big retailers are gearing up for the lucrative holiday shopping season and are already offering deals in November: Walmart, Amazon, Macy's, Belk, Dell and other started to release ads that present their tantalizing offers, and more will surely come up soon. Things are heating up, but Amazon seems ready to handle the competition.

"For all customers, tens of thousands of great deals in the Black Friday Deals store," Shure underlines.
