Subscribers to EA Access on Xbox One will get the chance to play Star Wars Battlefront five days ahead of release, but only for a certain amount of time.

When the game goes live on the service on Nov. 12, players will then be able to play Star Wars Battlefront for 10 hours, no more, no less. The 10 hour time limit includes single-player missions as well as online multiplayer.

Even though there is a time limit attached, the full game will be playable. Progress made in the trial will carry over to the full game as well, so if you use those full 10 hours to rank up and unlock new items, you won't have to do so again when the game officially releases. If you've purchased the game digitally via the Xbox One marketplace and download the game as part of EA Access, you won't have to re-download it come release day either.

Earlier trials on EA Access have sometimes limited what portions of the game can be played, so it's nice to see EA is letting players take the full version of Star Wars Battlefront for a spin during the early access period.

If you do plan on trying out the game early with EA Access, keep in mind that the 10 hour time limit factors in time spent on menus and matchmaking. Spend 30 minutes fiddling with the game options and that will be 30 less minutes you could have spent blasting Rebel scum.

If you are considering subscribing to EA Access to play the game early, it will cost you $4.99 for a one month subscription or $29.99 for the whole year. The subscription service is currently only available on Xbox One.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 17. You can check out the latest trailer for the game, a teaser for the upcoming (and free) Battle of Jakku DLC, here.
