It turns out that even the foul-mouthed, dual sword-wielding Deadpool stands by fellow X-Man Wolverine when it comes to choosing People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.

To show his support for crime-fighting colleague Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds - in Deadpool makeup as he is still in the middle of reshoots for the upcoming "Deadpool" movie - impersonated the "Wolverine" actor to encourage fans to vote for Jackman as this year's Sexiest Man Alive. 

Showing that he was amused by the impersonation, Jackman posted the 15-second video on his own Instagram account to let his followers know that he's got his friends to back him up in his bid to bag the coveted title and grace People's cover.

In a thick, faux Australian accent, Reynolds, as Deadpool, convinces fans to vote. “G'day mate, Hugh Jackman here. Just reminding you to get your votes in for People's Sexiest Man Alive. Cover's coming up."

Reynolds may be campaigning for Jackman to win again this year, but he is also no stranger to the title. Jackman first graced the cover of People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issue in 2008, and Reynolds took the title just two years later.

Although his unmasked Deadpool makeup makes him look like, as the trailer for the film says, "a topographical map of Utah," we're sure that Reynolds can still hold his own to win that title again another year when he's not campaigning for Jackman. 

The winner will be unveiled on the Nov. 17 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC.
