It's not Game of Thrones season six, but the finale for Telltale's Game of Thrones series is still worth getting excited about for fans of author George R.R. Martin's fantasy world of Westeros.

The sixth and final episode in Telltale's series based on the HBO show will be arriving on Nov. 17 for those who have already purchased the game digitally, and new screens from the episode promise it will be a bloody one. At long last, a final confrontation between House Forrester and House Whitehill seems to be on the horizon. For several episodes the Forresters have struggled to muster what little strength they have to fight back against the Whitehills, who, with the support of the Boltons, are very close to having complete control of what was once Forrester lands.

A number of characters will be coming together while the conclusion to various personal quests will also reach their peak. Gared will uncover the secrets of the North Grove far north of the Wall, while Mira's political scheming in King's Landing may come at the ultimate price. No matter the outcome, it seems certain heads will roll. The only question at this point is who's head will it be?

The name for the episode is "The Ice Dragon", which certainly seems to be a reference to one of Martin's short-stories. What exactly that has to do with the episode remains to be seen, but it definitely has this fan's curiosity peaked.

If you've been waiting for the game to arrive on disc, you'll finally have your chance. The physical copy of the game will arrive on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 17 as well.

As of now it's not known if Telltale's Game of Thrones will be receiving a second season or not, but so far it's been an entertaining ride. After this there will be a long draught of Game of Thrones content to enjoy until the premiere of the show's sixth season in the spring. If waiting five months to get your Game of Thrones fix sounds far too long, checking out the game may just be what the Maester ordered.
