It seems that Samsung accidentally pushed out the latest Android version for a single user. The owner of the device is luckily generous, as he shares screenshots of the new TouchWiz user interface and other details on XDA.

Regarding aesthetics, the overlay's new color palette seems to retain the green accents from the previous version, but it's "predominantly white," as the owner puts it. The menus got a little scrubbing here and there and come along with some new animations, particularly for the notification panel with a touch of Material Design.

The quick settings menu also underwent quite an overhaul, getting its Edit button changed and losing its integrated S-Finder and Quick connect buttons. Meanwhile, the stock apps' icons also got a little rework.

Samsung also replaced the icons on the lockscreen, going for phone and camera icons with full colors instead of the see-through designs as well as a "Swipe screen to unlock" note rather than a padlock. The clock also sits in the middle now rather than in the top-left corner.

Aside from the appearance, the Galaxy Note 5's performance reportedly improved, scoring slightly higher benchmark figures. Although the difference is far from impressive, the device is now more responsive, executing smoother transitions compared with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. In other words, the device is generally faster with its new animations.

The update comes with the new permission system and improved RAM visualization, as well as slight appearance changes to several apps, including the Calendar, Clock, File Manager and Music. Also, it included some Microsoft bloatware too, but they are easy to disable.

Take note that the update is unfinished, and Samsung has plenty of time to work on it. Take the deep sleep feature for instance. The owner reported that it does not work on his device.
