As China-based OEM Vivo's press event draws nearer, the spate of leaks and rumors are gathering momentum.

Now, two variants of the Vivo X6 smartphone, the Vivo X6 Plus L and the Vivo X6 Plus D, have been given the green light by China's regulatory body TENAA, the equivalent of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission or FCC.

This is not the first time the Vivo X6, said to sport the Force Touch capability like the latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, has been in the news. A week ago, we reported that the Vivo X6 had received certification from TENAA. The Vivo X and the Vivo X6 Plus are anticipated to make their debut by the end of the month.

Earlier in November, Vivo also teased the X6 with some images of the impending X6 smartphone.

The Android-powered smartphone, along with its sibling, is anticipated to be introduced at the Chinese company's press event, which is slated for Nov. 30.

Rumors are rife that the Vivo X6 Plus will sport a 5.7-inch 2K display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. Interestingly, despite the moniker, the Vivo X6 Plus has a smaller screen than the 6-inch Vivo X6 with its Quad HD screen.

The X6 Plus is also said to house a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone will also boast a 21MP primary camera and a 12MP selfie camera. The X6 Plus is also said to pack in a fingerprint sensor and 32GB of on-board storage.

The smartphone will also have a powerful 4,000mAh battery, as well as Force Touch capabilities. The X6 Plus is also rumored to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and offer dual-SIM support.

The current TENAA certifications for the Vivo X6 Plus L and the X6 Plus D were issued on Nov. 9, 2015 and are valid until Nov. 9, 2018 per the listing.

The certification, however, does not include any images of the impending Vivo X6 Plus variants. With the Vivo press event only a few days away, we will soon know what surprises the Chinese company has in store for us.
