With all those Super Mutants, irradiated wildlife and robotic Synths running around, it's clear that Fallout 4 takes a lot of cues from classic science fiction. In fact, the games are inspired by so many different novels, TV shows and movies that it's almost impossible to list everything — however, there's one film that Fallout 4 calls on more than a few times throughout its story.

Blade Runner is one of the most iconic sci-fi films to date, and for good reason: the movie isn't just about Harrison Ford chasing down evil robots, it's a film about questioning the nature of humanity. It's gone on to inspire countless works of fiction, and Fallout 4 is one such example.

While we won't talk about the main story and its connections to Blade Runner here (nobody likes spoilers), there's a secret homage to the Ridley Scott classic hiding in the wasteland. It's not the most complex Easter egg in the game, nor does it contain any notable loot — but for anyone who loves Blade Runner, it's definitely worth checking out.

First things first: you'll need to actually find the Easter egg. To do so, you'll need to head to the Mass Fusion Containment Shed: it's a relatively small two-story building due west of Breakheart Banks. Don't worry about missing it — if you stumble onto a full parking lot and mild radiation, you're there.

You might be tempted to simply enter the building and explore inside, but you won't find much in the way of Easter eggs. It's worth clearing out, though: there are only a few Feral Ghouls to deal with, and unlocking the security door on the second floor will net you some ammo and a Fusion Core — but if you want to get to the Easter egg, you'll need to start outside.

If you head around to the southwestern wall, you'll notice a suspiciously-angled ventilation duct. Jump on and head as far up as you can — it may take a few tries, as the physics can get a bit wonky here. Once you're at the top, turn around and jump to the air conditioning unit, and then to the small ledge directly ahead of it. After that, it's just a short hop over the railing — congratulations, you're now sitting in the middle of a Fallout 4 recreation of the Blade Runner finale.

Again, it's not the most complicated Easter egg in the world — the bodies don't really contain any notable loot, and aside from a sweet jacket, there's not much else to find. Considering how many other Blade Runner Easter eggs have made their way into the franchise, it's not all that surprising that there isn't much to find, but come on — why not give players a replica of Deckard's gun, a lá "That Gun" from Fallout: New Vegas?

Decent loot or not, the fact that Bethesda took the time to pay homage to the film that helped inspire so much of it is pretty impressive. It's not some huge, complicated secret, but it doesn't really have to be — it's more of a small tribute than some grand gesture.
