Your childhood nostalgia is about to kick into high gear (or rather, Hi-C gear): Ecto Cooler, a popular Hi-C product tie-in with the Ghostbusters-based cartoon The Real Ghostbusters, has been renewed by the Coca-Cola Co.

Originally an orange-tangerine-flavored drink that came in a can, the Hi-C juicebox beverage that featured the ever-popular Slimer was a hit amongst the elementary school and middle school set throughout the '90s. Though the Minute Maid-owned brand was discontinued in 2001, Coca-Cola has most likely seen a potential goldmine with resurrecting the green-colored drink in anticipation of Paul Feig's female-fronted Ghostbusters reboot, which will be released in 2016.

Then again, the chance of seeing Ecto Cooler back on the supermarket shelves is still a bit tenuous. As one Reddit user pointed out, renewing the trademark might not be so much of a resurrection, but more of a low-cost business safeguard:

So, will we see Hi-C's Ecto Cooler back in stores? The only thing we can say for certain is this: here's to hoping.
