News of her break up after a decades-long romance sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Even more of a shocker were the rumors about a new woman in the life of her long-time sweetheart. But it looks like Miss Piggy isn't going to waste another moment pining over her green ex, Kermit. Especially when she's got the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt crooning love songs to her on "The Muppets."

The episode of the two romancing to Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" will air on Tuesday. To add icing to Miss Piggy's cake, the dreamy Hollywood actor serenaded her on her show "Up Late With Miss Piggy" while her ex-beau, Kermit The Frog, looked on.

Gordon-Levitt was clearly in his element, donning a dapper charcoal gray suit and singing the classic Sinatra hit. The star is set to produce two musical revivals in 2016: "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Guys and Dolls" which featured Frank Sinatra in the 1955 film.

Although the performance of "Fly Me To The Moon" went quite smoothly on the stage, back stage was a whole nother story. The Muppets crew were busy averting disaster when Sweetums missed his cue to lower a prop moon. In his panic, Gonzo causes Ogre to sneeze and sends the prop swinging aimlessly on stage, nearly decapitating their special guest star.

But all ended well and Gordon-Levitt and Miss Piggy ended their duet with a kiss on her trademark long opera gloves.

If the show's producer, Kermit, was jealous of the romantic chemistry between his old fling, he clearly didn't show it.

According to reports, Kermit is now dating a red-headed pig named Denise. Miss Piggy was last linked to Hollywood hearthrob Liam Hemsworth.

The Muppets airs on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. The episode entitled "Going, Going Gonzo" will also feature an epic drum battle between Foo Fighters' David Grohl and Animal.

A preview of the performance may be viewed on YouTube.
