Marvel released the first full trailer for Captain America: Civil War last week that showed that friendships will be put to the test in the new film. But Captain American and Iron Man have come together—at least for now—for the cover of Entertainment Weekly that will be released this week.

And while we will continue to contemplate whose side we will be on, the cover also gives us a closer look at Marvel's first black superhero, Black Panther.

In between all the action and bromance drama in the trailer, you might have caught the cameo made by the historic newcomer. The trailer didn't reveal how the Black Panther (played by Chadwick Boseman) will fit into the story, but since he is featured on the cover, our guess is that he will play a key role.

The new Captain America: Civil War image features the Black Panther between the Avengers heroes Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans) and Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.). The two are most famously known as Captain America and Iron Man, respectively, and will duke it out in the upcoming film.

We wonder if Black Panther will somehow get these two heroes on the same side, but we do know that the film's plot focuses on a proposed superhero act that would give the government more control over those with powers. As a fighter for independence, Captain America can't stand behind the new act, whereas Tony Stark supports it after feeling guilt following the events that took place in Age of Ultron.

Like the upcoming Batman v Superman film, instead of good guy versus bad guy, Captain America: Civil War puts superhero against superhero.

"In most of the movies, there's no question who we should be siding with. We all agree Nazis are bad, aliens from space are bad," Evans said in the EW interview. "But this movie's the first time where you really have two points of view. It becomes a question of morality and I don't think [Cap] has ever been so uncertain with what right and wrong is."

Boseman's Black Panther will be torn between the two heroes over whose side he's on.

In the image, Black Panther is seen standing tall and strong, wearing his signature black suit with the word "meow" to the right of his face. Boseman revealed more details about his costume in the magazine that hits newsstands on Friday.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016.
