Capcom is letting fans of Street Fighter V to get the first dibs of the much-awaited fighting game.

The studio divulged that the beta period will kick off on Dec. 18 at 12:01 a.m. U.S. Time or 8:01 a.m. UK Time. This beta testing will end on Dec. 20 at 10 p.m. U.S. Time or 6 a.m. UK Time.

Customers who will preorder will get the rare opportunity to try out this new video game via PS4 and PC, prior to its official launch in early 2016.

Previously, Capcom commenced beta testing to try its servers. Initially, it made the testing available on PlayStation 4 and eventually via PC in an aim to test out the cross-platform play of the game.

It is not clear if the studio will let gamers play all of the characters in the beta version.

What is certain, nevertheless, is that this will come packed with these features:

Casual Match - this feature allows gamers to take pleasure in casual matches

Ranked Match - gamers who want to fight for status and glory should play ranked matches

Training - this will aid gamers in improving their skills; it features different options and settings

Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) - through this feature, gamers can check the most up-to-date leaderboard ranking, check out rivals and search for replays

Options - this will let gamers to adjust sound and screen settings

Battle Setting - gamers can modify their character profiles and button configuration via this functionality

Participants of the beta testing will receive invite codes via the beta client which they could share with their friends.

In the meantime, Capcom also revealed the official opening cinematic for the fighting game. The unveiling event held on Dec. 6 at the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco.

The cinematic, which is presumably the one to be inserted in the final game, shows off different characters of Street Fighter V battling against one another. The opening also featured newcomer Necalli and villainous M. Bison.

Furthermore, Capcom recently disclosed a new character that makes use of a range of poison-laced attacks, named F.A.N.G.

Street Fighter V releases on PC and PlayStation 4 on Feb. 16 next year. Unfortunately, the game will not land on Xbox One.
