With just days before Christmas, Samsung has announced a new deal just in time for the holiday. Customers who purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 between Dec. 13 and Dec. 26, 2015 will receive a free one-year subscription to Netflix, which is a $100-plus value.

When Samsung officially announced its eight-inch and 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S2 tablets in July, the company was clearly targeting Apple's iPad mini and iPad Air. The company gave its smartphones a new premium build consisting of glass and metal, as opposed to the usual cheap-feeling plastic Samsung has used in the past. The Galaxy Tab S2 is also Samsung's thinnest tablet to date at only 5.6 mm, and former CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, JK Shin proudly boasted.

"The Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features," said Shin. "We believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere."

Samsung adopted the iPad's 4:3 aspect ratio, and both tablets feature gorgeous eight-inch and 9.7-inch 2048 by 1536 resolution — which is the same resolution Apple's iPad Retina displays feature — Super AMOLED displays.

In an effort to attract consumers into choosing a Galaxy Tab S2 over Apple's iPads this holiday season, Samsung has come up with a pretty sweet deal that consumers may want to consider.

Samsung has just announced the new promotion, which runs between Dec. 13 and Dec. 26, 2015. If you purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 during this time and sign up on Samsung's promotional site and fill out the required valid offer claim and receipt, the company will gift you a free one-year subscription to Netflix, which the company claims is a $100-plus value.

This Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Netflix deal is only available in the U.S., and if you're interested in getting in on it, you may want to hurry, because Samsung notes it's only offering this promotion while supplies last. All claim forms and receipts must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2016.
