Everyone can now get their hands on the OnePlus X without an invitation, but customers can only do so on Tuesdays.

Just earlier this month, the smartphone maker put the summer-released OnePlus 2 up for grabs sans an invitation forever, going for the traditional selling approach with the handset. Unfortunately, this decision did not carry over to other models, but the every-Tuesday availability of the OnePlus X is currently the next best thing.

With that said, there's a pretty good chance that retailers will quickly run out of stock every Tuesday because of limited units. If that happens . . . well, as the saying goes, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." In other words, try again next week.

As for the hardware specifications, the OnePlus X will sport a 5-inch display with a 1,080 x 1,920 resolution and a 441 ppi density. Under the hood, it has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 and Adreno 330 supported by 3 GB worth of RAM. It also houses 16 GB of internal storage with an expandable option and a 2,525 battery pack. Out of the box, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

OnePlus makes some powerful, head-turning devices, but the company's — to put it nicely — unconventional invitation-based method makes them too difficult to purchase.

Hopefully, the sales figures of the now-invite-free OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X on each Tuesday would make the smartphone manufacturer think of sticking to traditional marketing methods. At any rate, this seems to be a good start of a possible gradual change.

Of course, you don't have to put up with this selling model. However, if you're a OnePlus fan, this is your big chance to get ahold of the OnePlus X, so mark your calendar and set a date.
