The Force is awakened on the red carpet as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premiered in Los Angeles on Dec. 14 at 5:30 P.M. and was live streamed at the Star Wars official website presented by Verizon. The live red carpet event was hosted by Andi Gutierrez, Anthony Carboni and David Collins who talked not only with the cast but with the fans as well.

It's not only the fans but also the cast who insist that the world premiere of the much awaited seventh episode of the "Star Wars" saga remain spoiler free. However, that doesn't mean we're keeping mum about the events and interviews that happened on the red carpet.

Here are some of the more memorable things that happened during the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premiere.

1. The premiere tent was huge
The tent set up for the premiere covered four blocks and half a mile of traffic on Hollywood Boulevard had been closed just for the sake of getting the empires and rebels to come together and finally introduce the latest film in the franchise. Anyone who doesn't have a ticket to get inside barely saw a thing, which was discouraging for some fans who were hoping to take a peek, but that only mean the production really wants to keep all its secrets until others have finally seen the film.

2. First Order Stormtroopers opened the premiere
The premiere began with Stormtroopers marching into the tent followed by R2D2, C3PO and the current favorite, BB8. Host Anthony Carboni even channeled his inner fanboy and approached the droid to take a photo with his phone. A behind-the-scenes look also showed that Daisy Ridley and John Boyega also love BB8.

3. Chewbacca was excited for Han's arrival
Peter Mayhew, who played the lovable Wookie, excitedly tweeted a photo of Harrison Ford when he finally arrived and walked on the red carpet. Talk about best pals.

4. Adam Driver reveals the best part of making the film
It's not about his character or where the new "Star Wars" films was able to take him. For Adam Driver who plays Kylo Ren, the most amazing part of being cast in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was getting to work with the original cast and seeing them still excited about working on the newest film.

5. Harrison Ford's piece of advice
"Think about how you can help tell a story with your own experience, with your own instincts. Trust yourself."

6. George Lucas approves
Creator and director of the original "Star Wars" films admits he never thought the franchise would ever get as big as it is now bit he is delighted that the themes of the original films was not lost on the audience and can also be seen in the new film. "It's a film about families. It's a film about generations and what one generation leaves behind that the next generation has to deal with," Lucas said.

7. J.J. Abrams feels guilty
It's not about the film but Abrams did say he felt sorry for the community because of how huge the red carpet event is. He also felt the whole thing is surreal.

8. Mark Hamill still won't say a thing
Luke Skywalker was missing in the poster and trailers but Hamill still won't say a thing about what Luke has been up to until you watch "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He's not complaining, though, because Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher have been doing the heavy lifting during press tours because of the decision to keep Luke's role in the film a mystery.

9. Carrie Fisher and Oscar Isaac interviewed each other

10. Daisy Ridley revealed who messed around on set
Ridley admits that she and John Boyega messed around a lot on set but they were just being silly and having fun while filming.
