When the Huawei Watch rolled out, it was a huge success, and it seems that the company is going to continue the momentum it gained with a women's version of the wearable tech at the CES 2016 in January.

Without a doubt, the Huawei Watch is easily one of the hottest smartwatches of 2015 because of its impressive hardware specifications. Along with the Nexus 6P, the Android wearable took the U.S. market by storm, where the company has proven itself to be fully capable of making powerful devices.

Considering its classy design and prominent face, the Huawei Watch is a real looker. However, that may have backfired, as it may have alienated the women demographic.

Based on the rumors, Huawei could be taking a shot at winning the ladies back with a revamped smartwatch.

While details surrounding the so-called women's version is sparse at best, it's a pretty safe bet to assume that it won't be getting a major overhaul in terms of specs. Perhaps it'll only get a smaller and thinner design that'll fit women's wrists better.

As a reminder, the Huawei Watch sports a 1.4-inch screen with a 400 x 400 resolution. Under its hood, it has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 and 512 MB RAM. It's also compatible with both Android and iOS.

Meanwhile, newly surfaced rumors also indicate that a second-generation Huawei Watch is going to roll out sometime in 2016. On top of that, it is believed that it'll be cellular, as Android Wear now supports the function.

Of course, Huawei hasn't given out any official word, so there's a pretty slim chance of a Huawei Watch 2 or a women's version of the wearable tech seeing the light of day. All we can do is cross our fingers and take the news with the proverbial grain of salt.
