Good news, LG G4 owners, Sprint is finally rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to your smartphones, updating the software version to LS991ZV9 and throwing in its Global Roaming feature.

You will soon gain access to a range of features of the highly anticipated Android OS, including Doze, fingerprint and USB Type-C support, Google Now on Tap and restructured app permissions.

As for when the update arrives, Sprint said that it might take a while.

"Software updates may be released in stages and can take several days for delivery," said Sprint.

Also, users will be able to manually check for the update via Settings, where the carrier has provided a tutorial to find it.

Going over the hardware specifications, the LG G4 will feature a 5.5-inch screen with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution at 538 ppi that's topped off with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It houses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and another two Cortex-A57 cores at 1.82 GHz.

In terms of memory, it sports a 32 GB internal storage that's expandable via microSD, supporting up to 128 GB additional capacity. Under the handset's hood, it also has an Adreno 418 GPU and 3 GB worth of RAM.

With a 3,000 mAh battery pack, the LG G4 can last long through the day, and it'll be able to stay alive even longer when the Doze feature comes. As for the cameras, it's fitted with a 16 MP shooter in the rear and an 8 MP one in the front.

The LG G4 is without a doubt a powerful smartphone, and with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it'll just get more awesome than it is now.

On a related note, LG released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the LG G3 too. The smartphone maker didn't give an official release date, though, but the upgrade is expected to go live in due time.
