Just over a month since Ronda Rousey was shocked and brutally knocked out by Holly Holm in Australia, the former UFC bantamweight champion is slowly starting to return to herself ... her sci-fi-loving, inner-geek-embracing self.

The mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter proudly took to her Instagram account Friday to share a shot of herself and two friends in full Star Wars gear, fresh from seeing an early showing of The Force Awakens.

"About last night....Star Wars was awesome," Rousey wrote in the caption accompanying the photo. "I'm the stormtrooper."

Her unabashed love for the series' latest film is abundantly clear, just as millions of moviegoers should hit theaters in droves en route to possibly making The Force Awakens the highest-grossing movie of all time — a feat that's largely expected.

Rousey was a part of a Thursday night audience that helped the film post a record $57 million, making it the most powerful preview night for any movie ever. As of early Friday afternoon, Disney is also reporting that cumulative global sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already approaching $130 million.

With Rousey posting this picture to her Instagram account, it only adds to her publicly-displayed fandom for anything science fiction.

This past August, the MMA fighter's Pokemon forum moderator profile from when she was 16 years old surfaced on the Internet.

Before Rousey gets to face Holm in a rematch next July, EA Sports' UFC 2 title — which has her and Conor McGregor on the cover — is slated for a spring 2016 release.
