What's better than new content becoming available to stream in January? Being able to stream said content for free, of course.

We might be coming to the end of our free trials with some of the other video streaming platforms, so that makes it the perfect time to check out Sony's free streaming network if you haven't already done so.

Crackle allows users to stream movies and TV series any time and anywhere, using its app for iOS and Android (as well as Roku, Apple TV, PlayStation and Xbox consoles). The service has no subscription costs, and the user doesn't even have to sign in to start streaming when on their computer. Best of all, the streaming platform features Web series from Jerry Seinfeld and Bryan Cranston.

While we are already sold on Crackle (just keep in mind there are ads in order to keep the service free), the platform is adding lots of new content in order to keep us entertained during those long commutes back home after the holidays.

Crackle is debuting the season 7 premiere of the original series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee starting on Dec. 30, with brand new episodes airing every following Wednesday. The season premiere of Jerry Seinfeld's series will feature President Obama, along with guest stars Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Garry Shandling, Kathleen Madigan and Sebastian Maniscalco.

To celebrate this new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Crackle is releasing 10 new episodes of Seinfeld each month, with January's theme focusing on past guest stars of the Web series, including Larry David, Jay Leno and Sarah Silverman.

Other TV shows being added include season 8 of Married with Children, seasons 1 and 2 of The Jackie Chan Adventures and seasons 1 and 2 of The Shield.

On the movie front, Crackle is adding lots of must-see flicks, such as Crash, Life starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence and the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer. Other movies include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Oldboy and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

Make sure to stream movies like King Kong and The Hungover Games before they leave the platform.

Here's the complete list of movies and TV shows being added to and leaving the video streaming service Crackle in January.
