Flappy Bird is back and it has brought along a flock of its family members -- Flappy Bird Family arrives as a exclusive title for Amazon TV and adds a multiplayer component.

As if it wasn't difficult enough to navigate Flappy around the pipes Mario has so gracefully slid through for years, Flappy Bird Family will include new obstacles. Players can also flap off in a showdown against the ghosts of other players and engage in multiplayer mode.

"Flappy Birds now are on Amazon Fire TV with incredible new features: Person vs. Person mode, more obstacles, more fun and still very hard," stated the game's description. "Enjoy playing the game at home (not breaking your TV) with your family and friends."

Flappy Bird Family has only been released in Amazon's Appstore and there has been no word on a release on Google Play or the iTunes store.

The original version of the incredibly difficult game went viral, as players sought to propel the bird with the worst thrust ever, and innards or iron, through a course of unforgiving obstacles. Players were addicted to the challenge, while Dong Nguyen, Flappy Bird creator, said that player fixation on his game made his life uncomfortable and robbed him of sleep.

"Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed," said Nguyen after pulling the game from app stores. "But it happened to become an addictive product. I think it has become a problem. To solve that problem, it's best to take down Flappy Bird. It's gone forever."

When the original Flappy Bird game was removed from app stores, quick-thinking capitalists headed to eBay to auction off smartphones that had the game installed on them. While quick on their feet and drawing bids that soared around the $10,000 price range, eBay caught wind of the auctions and the Flappy Bird phones dropped off of the auction site as quickly as the game's star dives without a timely prod.

"Smartphones and tablets must be restored to factory settings before they are allowed to be sold on eBay," stated eBay's policy on mobile devices. "Please remove all content from your device, including the game Flappy Bird, before you attempt to list your item again. Please be sure your current and future listings follow these guidelines, keeping in mind that additional violations of this policy could result in the suspension of your account."

Nguyen teased an image of Flappy Bird Family back in May and tweeted that he was creating a new game so that people could forget about the highly-addicting original.
