USAoploy is releasing a special Legend of Zelda-themed edition of Monopoly on Sept. 15 in the U.S., and you can pre-order it at GameStop now, complete with exclusive pre-order bonuses. If this sounds more like the release of a video game rather than a re-skinned classic board game, you would be exactly right.

Like most themed versions of Monopoly, Legend of Zelda Monopoly is a standard Monopoly board with locations and characters from the iconic Nintendo series. Chance cards are empty bottles, used in the games to carry any number of helpful potions or fairies; community chests have been renamed into treasure chests; houses are Deku Sprouts and hotels are full-fledged Deku Trees. The standard railroads are replaced with the various forms of transportation seen throughout the games, like the Spirit Tracks train, King of Red Lions sailboat from Wind Waker, Link's trusty steed Epona and the Loftwing bird from Skyward Sword.

If you've always wanted to own all of Hyrule with an iron fist, all the well-known Zelda locations are here, from a number of different games. Though it isn't confirmed, surely the currency included in the game would be rupees from the video games. Free parking is still regular ol' free parking, and it looks like the Hyrulian version of jail isn't so much different from our own.

It is in the tokens that GameStop comes in. Anybody who has ever played Monopoly has their favorite character token, whether it be the car, the shoe or the dog. Legend of Zelda Monopoly offers several iconic Zelda items for players to choose from: the hookshot, bow, boomerang, Hylian shield and the all powerful Triforce. That is, unless you pre-order at GameStop. Doing so nets you an exclusive Ocarina game piece, straight from the all-time Zelda classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Well played GameStop, well played.

That's not all pre-ordering gets you, however. Players who pre-order will also snag six "Power Cards for added gameplay," listed as Goddess Harp, Wind Walker, Minish Cap, Spirit Flute, Phantom Hourglass and Ocarina of Time.

What these cards will do exactly is up in the air, but expect them to mix-up the traditional Monopoly gameplay in some way that stays true to the purpose of the item in the video game. Zelda Monopoly, if pre-ordered at Gamestop, will also come in an exclusive "square box packaging" and with a "Hyrule Map lithograph." The game will retail for $39.99.
