GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64 is one of the most iconic shooters around, spawning a generation of FPS gamers who have memorized every nook and cranny of the game.

Gamers have never seen GoldenEye look like this before. As part of a portfolio project, Jude Wilson has recreated a portion of GoldenEye's "Facility" level using the power of Unreal Engine 4.

"I have combined the N64's original layout with the film's look and feel using Unreal Engine 4," Wilson writes in the description for his virtual tour of the space. "I have tried to get it as realistic as possible, using the film's interiors, props and lighting but, remaining true to the original game at the same time."

The results are certainly impressive. Many fans of the original game have been leaving comments on the video by saying they would love to play a modern remake of GoldenEye if it looked like the footage below.

"If we received a proper remake with these graphics, actors returning such as Pierce Brosnan and Sean Bean voicing their characters in the film, it would possibly be one of the best video game remakes of all time," says one commenter.

GoldenEye 007 did get a remake for the Wii in 2010, with Daniel Craig replacing Brosnan as the leading man and the game/film's plot receiving some tweaks to fit it into the modern James Bond continuity. The game was later ported to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Still, the remake didn't sport anything close to the level of detail on display in the video. Though another remake will likely never happen, at least fans can dream.
