Felix Kjellberg, the popular YouTube star who is better known as PewDiePie, has teamed up with Disney subsidiary Maker Studios to launch a new online entertainment network called Revelmode.

PewDiePie has been affiliated with Maker Studios since 2012 and the new initiative is a step forward in their collaborative efforts. With the arrival of Revelmode, Kjellberg would be growing his digital media empire.

Revelmode, which features Kjellberg and other gaming- and pop culture-focused YouTube stars, will offer original shows, new games, philanthropy opportunities, merchandise and commercial partnership.

"It's me and a bunch of awesome YouTubers coming together as a group to do awesome things," says Kjellberg.

Kjellberg - often called "Emperor of the Internet" - has more than 41.5 million YouTube subscribers to his credit. He created Revelmode from his own experiences and says he will attempt to "bring together an Avengers-like talent squad to work and grow a business together."

PewDiePie in tandem with his talented partners will channel their energies towards the creation of music, animatoons, charity drives, one-off videos, original series and more. Basically everything which will go down well with fans.

The partnership with Disney's Maker Studios is reflective of the fact that the latter was keen on holding on to Kjellberg and his fans.

"We're thrilled to be doubling down with Felix. He is an amazing talent, a great partner and the pulse of millennial pop culture. We firmly believe in his vision for Revelmode and his chosen creators - we can't wait to see the possibilities ahead," shares Courtney Holt, Maker Studios' head and executive vice president.

Maker Studios and Kjellberg will be responsible for developing and selecting talent who fit in with the Revelmode brand's ideologies and vision. Initially the talent squad will comprise the following YouTubers:

CinnamonToastKen (Ken Morrison)

CutiePieMarzia (Marzia Bisognin)

Dodger (Brooke Lawson)

EmmaBlackery (Emma Blackery)

JackSepticEye (Sean McLoughlin)

Jelly (Jelle van Vucht)

Kwebbelkop (Jordi van den Bussche)

Markiplier (Mark Fischbach)

Maker Studios says that all the Revelmode talents account for a combined following of more than 100 million followers on various social media sites such as Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Revelmode's first program will be an animated series starring PewDiePie, the initial creator partners and new characters.

Revelmode will be accessible on YouTube, the Web  and Facebook, along with other platforms. It will have video content, focus on game development, commercial partnerships and philanthropic programs.
