Apple now offers certain Apple TVs on its online store at discounted prices for the refurbished models. With prices that range from $59 to $169, customers can purchase third generation Apple TVs in addition to those from the fourth generation.

According to Apple's online shop, all of its refurbished products were tested and certified and are inclusive of a year-long warranty. While the company indicated that it currently has only limited supplies, customers are assured that the products are updated regularly. Moreover, the company guarantees a product's availability once it receives full payment from the customer.

The third generation Apple TV was originally launched in March 2012, and the refurbished TV unit now has a price tag of $59.

"Apple TV gives you access to the best content – blockbuster movies, TV shows, sports, your music and photos, and more – right on your HDTV. You can even play content from your iOS devices on your TV wirelessly using AirPlay," says Apple.

The fourth generation Apple TV base model is listed at $129 and offers 32 GB of storage. The bigger 64 GB model is available at $169. The regular prices for these models are at $149 and $199, respectively. This means that customers who are in the market for Apple TVs will be able to save between $20 and $30 when they decide to purchase the refurbished Apple TVs online.

This is perhaps the most interesting deal, as the fourth generation Apple TV was originally released in September 2015. Apple said that it has equipped the new Apple TV 4 with a powerful tvOS to add a more personal feel to TV viewing that is akin to using one's iPhone or iPad.

"On your mobile devices and computers, you already use apps such as Netflix, Hulu, WatchESPN, and iTunes to watch TV shows," says Apple. "And that's exactly where TV in the living room is headed. Apps have liberated television. They allow you to make individual choices about what you want to watch."

Some of the popular apps that customers can enjoy include Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, HBO Now and Showtime.

Apart from the wide selection of apps, the fourth generation Apple TV also features an advanced touchpad remote control, Siri voice integration and a dedicated App Store.

Apple recently released tvOS 9.1.1, which delivers more added features such as the ability to play podcasts on TV, enhanced performance and several bug fixes. The next version, also known as tvOS 9.2, promises to bring other notable features that include channel folders, enhanced app switcher and support for Bluetooth keyboard.

A few days ago, Apple also launched refurbished Retina MacBooks in 12-inch models at its online store.
