U.S. Cellular recently unveiled four new plans available with the Simple Connect prepaid service, and there is something there for everyone.

For owners of basic cell phones, the company offers one option: a $30 per month plan, granting unlimited texts and 500 minutes of voice calls. Smartphone owners have multiple options at their disposal.

First, there is the monthly $35 plan. U.S. Cellular customers who choose it get unlimited text messages and voice calls, alongside 500 MB of high-speed data. Should they top the 500 MB limit, the data speed gets dwarfed to only 1X. This is the carrier's approach to data overage, as there are no extra fees for clients who go over their data allocation.

The mobile carrier offers a $45 monthly prepaid plan as well, which comes with unlimited texts and talk time and 2 GB of high-speed data.

The most pricey option comes at $60 per month, for which subscribers get unlimited calls and texts and 5 GB of mobile data for high-speed Internet browsing.

An additional option aims to make the prepaid plans even more attractive: if you spend $50 in advance to secure your prepaid plan, U.S. Cellular offers $50 extra. It does so by cutting off $5 from the monthly bill for the next 10 months.

A monthly data calculator from U.S. Cellular's website helps users estimate how much mobile data they actually use.

U.S. Cellular, the fifth largest American mobile carrier, offers its clients the possibility to purchase the latest flagships from Apple or Samsung, but with better conditions than most of its rivals.

Users can buy the iPhone 6s or Samsung Galaxy S6, for instance, without the standard two-year binding contract that is commonly used by other big names in the mobile industry.

In October 2015, U.S. Cellular rolled out affordable data plan offers aimed at countering its main rivals Verizon and AT&T.

"Our customers experience a high-quality network that they can use coast to coast along with unbeatable value on a variety of flexible plans to meet their needs," Joe Settimi, vice president of marketing for U.S. Cellular, pointed out at the time.
