Nokia is preparing to launch its most ambitious devices yet, the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520. The company plans to launch both devices on November 22 alongside the Microsoft Xbox One. Whether or not that's a good idea is left to be seen. At the moment, both AT&T and Microsoft are accepting pre-orders for the Lumia 1520, Nokia's latest smartphone (or should we say, phablet?) based on the Windows Phone 8 platform.

With both the Lumia 1520 phablet and the Lumia 2520 tablet running Windows 8.1 RT launching on the same day alongside the Xbox One, November 22 could turn out to be a big day for consumers who are interested in all three devices.

The AT&T version of the Lumia 1520 will be available in Black, Yellow and White, along with a glossy Red version. However, the AT&T version will lack Qi wireless charging feature of the international version.

AT&T is doing more than taking away Qi wireless charging. While the international version launches with 32GB internal storage, the AT&T version, comes with only 16GB. This could be a ploy to get customers into using its very own cloud storage solution. However, we're not certain if that would work since many Windows Phone 8 fans would already know of SkyDrive.

The smaller storage is fine though, because the 6-inch display Lumia 1520 comes with a microSD card slot, which can hold up to 32GB memory. One reason for the smaller storage, could be to make the handset more affordable. The 32GB Lumia 1020 started off at $299 on contract before the price was slashed to $199 in quick succession. The Lumia 1520 won't have that problem since it will begin at the more affordable $199.

To entice customers, AT&T is offering 50GB of additional AT&T Locker cloud storage, along with a free copy of Halo: Spartan Assault, says the company. If you buy the device via Microsoft, you'll get $70 worth of app vouchers and a free copy of Halo: Spartan Assault.
