Location-based dating app Tinder is one of the most-popular dating apps but not everyone may find his or her valentine using this service. There are several other dating apps that can help find the right valentine.

Bumble

Whitney Wolfe, the co-founder of Tinder, founded Bumble in December 2014. The app is aimed mainly at females who want to have proper control of their virtual dating life.

Both males and females are allowed to use the service but men are not allowed to message women first, which means girls have to take the first step to start a conversation they find fit.

Bumble is also treated as a feminist Tinder alternative for girls and this could be the app for finding the right valentine.

Coffee Meets Bagel (CMB)

The service functions slightly differently than Tinder and other dating apps. Users get a single match each day called 'bagel.' They have the option to pass or accept the suggestion. A chat line opens, and it is active for a week, during which both the people accept or reject the suggested match.

The lack of matches may deter many singles to search for a partner on CMB. However, many people would like to get just a few suitable matches than a long list of people that aren't really their type.

Hinge

Hinge is very selective dating service that allows users to create a profile and find a match via Facebook. Hinge does not suggest a match randomly but it targets only the user's friends of friends on Facebook, which means people who are not in the social circle are not suggested as a match at all.

The dating service asks users to update their relationship status on Facebook so that no is one deceived.
