With a movie reboot, a comic book reboot and a TV reboot with Netflix as its new provider, it can be said that we've reached a true Power Rangers renaissance — and only a month after the release of BOOM! Studios and Saban's inaugural issue of their Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers line, it looks perpetual fan favorite the Pink Ranger is getting her own short spinoff series. To borrow a catchphrase from the show: "Let's do it, guys!"

As the Los Angeles Times reported, Brendan Fletcher and Kelly Thompson are set to co-write the series, along with comics artist Daniele Di Nicuolo.

Additionally, Fletcher and Thomspon are no strangers to taking on gargantuan figures like the Rangers: as a DC Comics veteran, Fletcher has written stories for indelible heroes like Batgirl and Black Canary, while Thompson has taken on Jem and the Holograms and Captain Marvel.

The debut issue of the six-part series will include cover art by Elsa Charretier, with a variant by Marguerite Sauvage (Charretier hinted at her next project via Twitter a day before the L.A. Times broke the story).

A variant cover by Marguerite Sauvage will also be released.

While there is no official synopsis as of now, it's more or less inevitable that it will be heavily intertwined with its parent comic. The latter's revival occurred earlier this year with the release of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers #0, which was based on one of the major story arcs from the show's 1993 debut season. Here's the official synopsis from BOOM! Studios below:

"After escaping Rita Repulsa's mind control, Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, joins up with the rest of the Power Rangers to combat her never-ending evil plans. Any semblance of a normal life is gone for Tommy now, but with his newfound family there lies hope for a brighter path."

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Pink is scheduled to launch in May 2016.
