Italian sports car manufacturer Pagani has updated the Huayra and it only costs a measly $2.55 million. For those ready to put down a deposit on one, the 2016 Huayra BC is already sold out.

The Huayra BC has been officially unveiled ahead of its big debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next month.

"The Huayra BC is the most technologically advanced Huayra Coupé yet, introducing innovative technical solutions which will be applied in the Pagani cars of the future," Pagani says. "This [is] not just a 'restyling' of the Huayra, but a product that includes innovative changes in every part of the vehicle. It's a car that has a completely different personality to that of the Huayra Coupé."

The "BC" in its name pays homage to Pagani's first Zonda customer, the late Benny Caiola. The 79-year-old Italian-born American, who passed away in 2010, was said to be a profound inspiration to Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili S.p.A.

"Dear Benny, I dedicate the Huayra BC to you, from my heart," writes the founder on the supercar's landing page.

The 2016 Huayra BC still uses the 2011 model's Mercedes-AMG constructed 6.0-liter, twin turbo V-12 engine. But if the 2011 model's tuning was turned up to 10, the 2016 version has been cranked up to 12 or 13.

The Huayra BC's pace is moderated by a seven-speed automated manual transmission, which Pagani says was developed from scratch. Its gearbox, engineered by Xtrac, boosts all-new carbon fiber synchronizers and a electro-hydraulic actuation system.

The 2016 model's power plant puts out 789 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, though none of that is set in stone as Pagani has indicated that the engine's final specs "will be released soon." The 2011 model cranked out 720 hp and 738 pound-feet of torque.

Pagani also found a way to make the 2016 Huayra significantly lighter than the 2011 verion of the car. The BC weighs 2,865 pounds while the 2011 Huayra tips the scale at 2,976 pounds.

Pagani only plans to produce 20 of the Huayra BC supercars and the ticket office is already closed. All 20 of the cars have buyers.
