HTC beefed up its Desire lineup by launching three new handsets with designs inspired by streetwear fashion.

The polycarbonate build of the Desire 530, Desire 630 and Desire 825 features a micro splash effect, making each phone unique and appealing to consumers who also want their handsets to look fashionable.

"HTC has built its reputation on pairing industry-leading design with smart features," says Chialin Chang, HTC's president of sales. "But with customers also seeking personalization, and individuality in addition to treating their phones as fashion accessories, we have needed to create something different. So today we're launching the most unique Desire devices yet."

Prior to the launch, tipster Evan Blass leaked some images of the HTC A16, which was speculated to belong to the Desire lineup of handsets. The images showed the handset as a colorful device and in some shots, the back cover showed eye-catching design features.

The leak somehow gave the impression that HTC could be preparing to unveil new handsets despite the fact that it became clear that it will not announce the One M10 flagship at the MWC this year.

HTC's design team understands that people have personal tastes and have the desire to be different. Gone are the days when phones were used only for making calls and sending SMS. Now, smartphones can also be a fashion accessory and depict a person's unique mood and personal style.

The team's special paint process involved using uniquely designed spray nozzles and various settings of paint viscosity and pressure. Treating each handset as a canvas resulted in phones like no other.

The Desire 530 comes in Graphite Gray and Solid Stratus White block color options. Both the Desire 530 and the Desire 630 have a 5-inch display and 720p HD Super LCD resolution.

The Desire 530 runs on Snapdragon 210 and has 1.5 GB of RAM. It also has 16 GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Desire 630, on the other hand, runs on Snapdragon 400 and boasts 2 GB of RAM. As for the camera, the 630 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter.

The third handset, the HTC Desire 825, has a slightly bigger display of 5.5 inches that features Gorilla Glass. It shares that same specs with the Desire 630 in terms of RAM, processor, internal storage and camera.

Both the Desire 630 and Desire 825 come with high-quality audio and use BoomSound with Dolby Audio tech. Both are also Hi-Res Audio Certified devices. The devices also come bundled with a Hi-Res headset. Lastly, they come in two color and design options: Graphite Gray Remix with gold micro splash and Stratus White Remix with duo micro color splash.

All three Desire handsets come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. They are also perfect for taking selfies as all are built with Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie Modes features.

HTC is rolling out the three handsets at both htc.com and retailers beginning in March 2016.
