Just one day after LG announced the G5 flagship at the MWC, the handset is now seen at a mobile retail site as available for preorder.
UK-based Mobile Fun now accepts preorders for the LG G5 and has listed the device at a price of $712.99. The specific details of the listing indicate the device as "SIM-free unlocked" and that it comes in the 32 GB version with Titan Gray as its color option.
"Innovative, function-packed and stylish, the unlocked LG G5 32 GB in Titan Gray is the ideal smartphone for anyone looking for something groundbreaking, powerful and versatile," states the handset's description in the listing.
To recap, the LG G5 features a 5.3-inch quad-HD display with a pixel resolution of 2,560 by 1,440. Powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, the G5 also boasts 4 GB of RAM, an internal storage of 32 GB, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion, Adreno 530 GPU, replaceable 2,800 mAh battery and connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The G5 also comes with an 8 MP selfie camera that features a viewing angle of up to 135 degrees.
"With touch and shoot you can touch anywhere on the screen to capture stunning images in an instant. Ideal for portraits and low lightning [sic] conditions, the LG G5 produces beautiful, professional-looking photos that pop with detail."
One interesting camera feature is the pop-out picture function, which allows users to perform awesome edits by using one of a few available options. Those include lens blur, vignette, black and white and fisheye.
Other exciting details on the latest LG flagship include dual cameras (16 MP and 8 MP), modular design, a removable lower section that slides out, "Always on Display," magnifying zoom in and out and a number of sensors that include color spectrum, barometer, compass, proximity, gyro, accelerometer and fingerprint.
Much has already been said about the LG G5 prior to its official announcement at the MWC. However, perhaps the most prominent is how the company positions its flagship as a serious challenger to the Samsung Galaxy S7. With a new design and a slew of impressive new features, it's safe to assume that LG is determined to make the G5 the best Android device of 2016.
