Let's be honest: it's starting to seem like the Wii U is on its way out. Third party games for the system have all but disappeared, and even Nintendo itself doesn't seem too worried about releasing high-quality titles on the Wii U. With rumors of the NX getting set for launch later this year, it seems like Nintendo's tablet/console hybrid doesn't have much time left in the spotlight.

While it's a shame that the system never found much success, there is one reason to celebrate the Wii U's seemingly early retirement - cheap games! Earlier today, Nintendo of America announced the next wave of 'Nintendo Select' titles: basically, some of the Wii U's best games are getting a permanent discount to just $20 a piece.

These aren't throwaway bargain bin games, either: some of the Wii U's best titles, such as Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Pikmin 3, are all just $20 from here on out.

As an added bonus, it's not just Wii U games getting discounted: a number of 3DS and original Wii titles are also up for grabs, including games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

The full list is as follows:

Wii U

• Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
• Super Mario 3D World
• Pikmin 3
• NES Remix Pack

3DS

• The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
• Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
• Yoshi's New Island
• Mario Party: Island Tour

Wii

• Super Mario Galaxy 2
• Donkey Kong Country Returns
• Animal Crossing: City Folk
• Super Mario All-Stars

It's not everyday that Nintendo games go on sale - the publisher is notoriously stingy when it comes to offering up discounts on its most popular franchises. That being said, a $30 discount is nothing to sneeze at, and these games are some of the best in the Wii U's library - apparently, on the off-chance that Nintendo does discount its games, they don't hold back.

All of the above titles will switch to their new $19.99 price tag on March 11, so keep an eye out!
