You hop on that stationary bike and start pedaling faster and faster in sync with the at-home spinning video you have playing. You follow along, rising up and dropping back down in the seat, and the sweat begins to drip down our face, soon soaking your clothes. But in order to be able to change into some clean ones once you're done, you must never stop cycling. That's because the the bike you are riding is the Bike Washing Machine.

Talk about killing two birds with one stone! The Bike Washing Machine (or B.W.M. for short) allows a user to wash their clothes at the same time they're working out. This very well might be the answer to those who say they can't find the time to exercise because they have too many chores they need to get done.

The B.W.M. was created by design students Xuefei Liu, Di Fang, Linhao Su, Zhanbing Li, Xiaoyu Gao Xueyi Wang, Wen Fan, Liying Zhu, Deqian Zhao, Huan Li, Mengmeng Hu and Weiwei Li at Dalian Nationalities University in China. It looks like any other stationary bike on the market, except it has the drum of a washing machine as its wheel.

"When you ride this bike, the pedaling motion causes the drum of the washing machine to rotate," the designers explain. "At the same time, the extra electricity generated can be used to power the display screen or stored for future rides."

If you're already pumped up that you will be able to get the laundry finished while getting your weekly spin on, then you will have to slow your roll. Unfortunately, the B.W.M is just a concept for now, and the designers have no comment on whether they will actually start selling this model.

It's also not clear how exactly the water needed for this spin-cycle comes into play.

However, there is another bike washing machine hybrid that follows the same concept. Called BiWa, this model looks like an ordinary bicycle, but the back wheel features a capsule where dirty laundry can be placed. The idea is that the user can ride around their city, doing whatever tasks they need to get done (while also getting their workout in), and their clothes will be washing.

Designer Barbora Tobolova revealed that her model has a small opening in the back tire capsule where users can fill it with clean water and drain the dirty water. Tobolova said that the bike will be produced "soon." There is no word on its price, but seems like it would be a eco-friendly and healthy investment.
