T-Mobile's Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) deal is real and it offers customers one free Samsung Galaxy S7/ S7 edge at the purchase of either of the two newest flagships.

The official announcement came from the carrier, explaining that the offer is available online and set to last for a limited amount of time.

The details are below, but the essential is this: should you pick up a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge with an installment plan, you get the second device at no extra charge, after a rebate card.

It should be noted that you will have to use the second (and free) smartphone with T-Mobile. Also, you must add a line to it in order for it to work. To sweeten the pot, you get a free-of-charge Samsung Gear VR headset. The offer comes packed with several games for the VR device and a year's subscription to Netflix, all for free.

T-Mobile's rival Verizon also bundles Samsung's head-mounted virtual reality device for with the latest flagship for no extra cost, but also offers the option to get the Gear S2 smartwatch instead.

The T-Mobile BOGO offer may tempt more users however, and it just went live, available now on the carrier's website.

Samsung fans can get their hands on T-Mobile's 32 GB Galaxy S7 in two variants: Gold Platinum or Black Onyx for $0 down and under $28 per month for two years. The total cost of the deal is $669.99.

Users who prefer the higher-end model with a curved display can snatch the 32 GB Galaxy S7 edge Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium. The plan associated with the device asks you to pay $59.99 upfront and $30 during 24 months, amounting to a total cost of $779.99.

T-Mobile announced that the BOGO deal, which contains the Samsung Gear VR, the bundle of six VR games and the Netflix subscription, will last until March 18, or while supplies last. The carrier evaluates the bonus items and services at a total value of $250.

The carrier also had a treat for New Yorkers pondering upon the offer.

On March 10, all visitors who entered T-Mobile's new Times Square Signature store could experience virtual reality at its best, via the Gear VR and Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The offer was available between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. ET.

As for the rest of the Americans, beginning March 11 every customer in the United States can tap into participating T-Mobile stores to have a hands-on Samsung VR experience.

Tech Times reported on the rumor a few days ago, but it feels good to know that T-Mobile and Samsung were serious about the deal.
