Android Marshmallow has been rolling out to select Samsung high-end smartphones, but it has yet to reach devices in other countries. Fortunately, it looks like AT&T will launch it for the Galaxy Note 5 today and for the S6 on March 14.

Major U.S. carriers have been slowly releasing the anticipated Android update, with Verizon leading the race ahead of AT&T and T-Mobile. Sprint has yet to confirm whether or not the Note 5 model it supports will get it any time soon, but the S6 now has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via an over-the-air update.

The news comes from the customer service representatives (CSR) of AT&T itself. Owners of the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 have been getting in touch with the carrier's CSR team and posted their findings on the XDA Developers forums.

A user who goes by the name of KnownDominance found out that the Galaxy S6 will get it "from the 15th and ahead."

Meanwhile, another user who bears the moniker bryantx24 also contacted AT&T and discovered the specific dates of March 11 for the Galaxy Note 5 and March 14 for the S6.

Now, the two didn't exactly get the same answers, but the responses are more or less similar enough. At any rate, what the CSRs have said are good indications that Android Marshmallow will be coming in a few days' time.

It's also worth mentioning that one of the CSRs said that the source of the information is from a "portal that gives [them] release dates."

However, the Android Marshmallow update for the Note 5 is riddled with issues across the board, including Wi-Fi and battery-drain issues. Samsung is reportedly going to launch a second version of the OS to resolve the problems.

To boil things down, the AT&T variants of the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 will finally get Android Marshmallow. Hopefully, it won't bring along any complication, but more than that, let's keep our fingers crossed that the carrier will stick to the revealed release dates.
