Samsung has a number of mobile devices that have an in-built stylus, but the company is working on a standalone Bluetooth C-Pen stylus for the Galaxy Tab Pro S.

Rumors of a Samsung stylus have been making rounds on the Internet for many months, but details for it have been very minor. German publication Cyberport has listed Samsung Bluetooth C-Pen for Galaxy Tab Pro S with model number EJ-UW700.

According to the listing, the Samsung stylus has a price tag of 59 Euros, or about $66. The stylus can be connected to the Samsung tablet via Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The stylus also has eraser buttons, which will come in handy for those who do not want to use the screen eraser.

The C-Pen stylus has 1,024 pressure levels, which is half the pressure level sensitivity of the S-Pens used in Galaxy's Note devices.

The stylus' battery provides juice of up to 162 hours; however, battery life may also be dependent on the way the C-Pen is used. As the Samsung offering is a standalone stylus, it can be used on regular tablets and smartphones. However, the C-Pen is optimized for the Windows 10-powered 12-inch Galaxy Tab Pro S.

The C-Pen may come in handy for Galaxy Tab Pro S owners as the tablet does not come with a stylus. The Cyberport listing suggests that the C-Pen stylus will be available from March 31.

Many people prefer using a stylus on their tablet or mobile phone for improved accuracy for tasks like drawing, sketching, taking notes and more. In September 2015, Samsung's arch rival Apple introduced a stylus called Apple Pencil for the first time in the company's history. The Apple Pencil was said to increase productivity on the company's 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

"When using iPad Pro, there may be moments when you want even greater precision. So we painstakingly designed Apple Pencil to expand on the versatility of Multi-Touch. And while the technology inside is unlike anything we've ever engineered, picking up Apple Pencil for the first time feels instantly familiar. It lets you make any number of effects, right down to a single pixel, giving you more creative freedom than ever before," says Apple.

Samsung has not confirmed any details on the C-Pen stylus. Customers will have to wait until the Korean company officially announces the stylus and reveals more information. Until then, all rumors on the C-Pen stylus should be taken with a grain of salt.
