Lenovo is waving goodbye to Motorola President Rick Osterloh amid a major reorganization. It also seems that more changes are yet to come down the road.

Osterloh took over as Motorola’s president after Dennis Woodside, the former president, stepped down from the position.

In a press release, Lenovo commended the leadership of Osterloh, particularly during the Motorola's acquisition by Lenovo.

“Rick Osterloh has decided to leave Motorola Mobility,” says Lenovo. “His steady leadership since Lenovo’s acquisition is appreciated and Lenovo wishes him continued success in the future.”

In place of Osterloh will be Xudong Chen and Aymar de Lencquesaing who will be acting as co-presidents of the Mobile Business Group (MBG) of Lenovo. The two will then report to Lenovo’s boss Yuanqing Yang.

Chen is going to focus on the China mobile business, as Lenovo is confident in his “deep experience in China” to aid the company in its bid in becoming the leader in this major market. In the meantime, de Lencquesaing is going to be in charge of major mature markets of Lenovo, tasked to drive the company’s quick growth in rising markets. He was previously the head of Lenovo North America.

Moreover, de Lencquesaing is now going to lead the Motorola Mobility teams that presently report to the outgoing president.

The reorganization also impacts the company’s PC Group, expanding it to cover tablets, computers, phablets, gaming and smart home products running Android, Windows plus Chrome operating systems. This newly expanded division is now named the PC & Smart Device Business Group and will be headed Gianfranco Lanci, Lenovo Group President and Chief Operating Officer.

The geographic sales and global operations organizations will keep on reporting to Lanci.

The company also goes on to say that its Enterprise Business Group will soon become the Data Center Group (DCG). It names Gerry Smith as the DCG's president.

Lenovo earlier announced that "Moto by Lenovo" will soon replace the Motorola brand. As such, it would not be surprising if the company will unveil a Lenovo Moto X in the near future.
