Arrow season 3 will see the rise of Ra's al Ghul to prominence on TV for the first time. We've been hearing a lot about the man in season 2, but now he's coming and guess who would like to take a shot at the character? No other than Liam Neeson.

For those unaware, Liam Neeson played as Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins, and he did a superb job. He loves the character and the DC universe, so we can understand why he'd like to reprise his role on the small screen.

In a recent video interview with MTV, Neeson claimed that he'd love to play Ra's al Ghul again, but, unfortunately, DC did not make that important call. And who would blame DC for not doing so? Getting Liam Neeson to play this important character on the small screen would be expensive, and it is clear that nothing much is spent on Arrow.

"No, I haven't [been asked], I haven't at all. I would [do it], in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so."

Furthermore, when Neeson was asked if he had any tips and tricks for the actor who will get the role of Ra's al Ghul, he said the actor would have to believe in the character's beliefs.

"They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra's al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with," says Neeson. "Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it."

While we'd love to see Neeson in the role, we know it won't happen. Chances are; DC has already found an actor who is fit for the role and who is also not as expensive as Neeson. The big question is though, can this actor pull off being Ra's al Ghul in a believable manner as Liam Neeson, or will he fail.

In other Arrow related news, Wildcat and the Atom will both appear in the season 3. However, it is not certain if Arrow's Wildcat will be the Theodore "Ted" Grant or his god-daughter, Yolanda Montez.
