Players were quick to snag the latest Street Fighter: V updates when Capcom finally released its March 28 and March 30 patch, adding various content into the game.

The March 28 update includes the challenge mode, which gives pro and new players a chance to learn gameplay mechanics at varying levels of difficulty. It also comes with tutorials for each game character to help players adapt to different combo styles unique to each character.

The update also brings online rematches, which give players a chance at avenging lost fights. Rematches can be played as long as both players agree to the request.

Various bug fixes and battle lounge improvements, now allowing a total of eight players, are also included in the update for more gameplay stability and improved user experience.

The March 30 update unlocks the first DLC character, Alex, along with his complete backstory and related character content. The update also launched the in-game shop where players can finally spend their "Fight Money" (FM) to unlock new characters and alternate costumes.

Characters are sold at 100,000 FMs while story mode costumes are unlocked at 40,000 FMs. Free story mode costumes, however, have been given away for characters, Ryu and Chun Li; the developer's way of saying thanks to players for their continued support and patience.

"Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien will be releasing later this year and each will have a Story Mode costume available for purchase using Fight Money. Keep an eye out though because that's just the beginning as we'll have details on additional items in the future!" the developers said.

On March 28, "resourceful" members of the community leaked screenshots of in-game characters sporting their new hardware. These players took to coding and unraveled some of the locked content within the update and posted them on different social media sites and communities.

The pictures suggested that characters such as Nash, F.A.N.G, Necalli, Birdie, Rashid, Zangief, Vega, Laura, Karin, R Mika and Ken will be receiving new sets of costumes for players to unlock.

Users are still commenting wildly and with mixed reactions regarding the new looks Capcom has given the characters. One, in particular, is that of Ken's new "cropped" look.
