Microsoft's Lumia 650 has finally crossed the pond. From Europe, it has already been pushed out in the United States and Canada.

The release of this Windows 10-powered new midrange handset in the United States, which was initially unveiled in February, comes after Microsoft has kicked started the official preorder of the Lumia 650 a couple of weeks ago.

This affordable Microsoft smartphone carries a price of $199 in the United States and CAD $199 in Canada. For these prices, consumers are going to receive a Lumia 650 Dual Sim Unlocked unit, via Microsoft's online store.

Before the phone has landed in these countries, it has initially been made available in Europe for quite a few weeks.

Specs

Apart from rocking Windows 10 mobile operating system, among the key features and specs of this handset includes its 5-inch HD OLED display, 8-megapixel main shooter with LED flash, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable to 200 GB through microSD.

Its OLED display sits stylishly in a diamond-cut metal frame. The Lumia 650 sports a premium look, with its 0.27 inch profile, polycarbonate build and its lightweight design.

Microsoft touts this phone as ideal for business as it has built-in security functionalities and it also comes with easy Office 365 setup.

"[W]hether you're choosing a phone for work or managing an IT department, you get full integration with the Microsoft apps and services that keep you productive, connected and ready for anything," says Microsoft.

Needless to say, it comes packed the most recent versions of Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and OneNote.

It likewise comes fitted with the Photos app that instantly backs up your captured images and synchronizes these shots across all the users' Windows 10 devices. Of course, it is crammed with Cortana to make the most out of the device.

In terms of its battery, the phone is equipped with a 2,000 mAh one which can deliver 16 hours of talk time, according to Microsoft.

It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212. On top of that, it works well with GSM carriers.

On the downside, though, this affordable phone does not support Windows 10's Continuum.
